Search engine optimisation is not a one day you work on it and the next you don’t touch it for a year. When you build a website you have to keep constant vigilance, not only on the site but with your SEO and marketing. If you fail to keep up to date with the latest tips, news, and other information available you could find yourself out of the index and struggling with your business. There are certain times when using bold for a keyword in your content is acceptable. Typically you are using a different colour font in order to create a link or help pinpoint the most important information in the document. There are a lot of us on the web who will speed read looking for the word or phrase we want. If we don’t find it we leave. So helping your consumer find an important keyword or phrase is acceptable. Just don’t go overboard with the usage. Once or twice is fine; more than that is a definite turn off for consumers and the search engines.

Branch out where you sell items. If you sell in the US or Canada make it evident by broadcasting a local address if you can get one. The more consumers you can reach the better off you are. Of course you still need to be able to serve these consumers so check with the information to make sure you can sell products to those countries. By having a website address for the search engine in that country you get to branch out. It is fairly easy to get a site set up for Google US or Google CA as long as you understand the rules.
Newsletters, blogs, forums, and other means of communication are acceptable. In fact they are needed. By offering articles on your site as well as to other sites that can be archived you are able to gain more recognition in a search engine for consumers to find you.
When you place images on your site there is more to it than just the image and some text to explain it. In fact the text should be the link that appears first in the source code. This helps the search engine navigate your site and you get to keep your points. Images can be difficult for a search engine to get through.
If you have multiple topics then they should have their own site. In other words don’t have one domain for five ideas; have five domains for five ideas.
